India, a land of diversity yet unique in ways unimaginable, a country that never fails to make sure that it is the pride of its citizens. India never stops to amuse you and that is why we bring to you a list of five things that happen only in India.
1) Even though India is setting milestones in scientific evolution, superstitions are rampant. One of the things that happen only in India is parents’ artificially inducing labour to make sure that their child is born on a time that is deemed “auspicious”.
2) When all the warnings failed to prevent people from urinating and spitting on the wall, Indians came up with an innovative way to deal with the problem. They pasted pictures of religious deities on the wall and the problem was solved immediately.
3) There is small town in the state of Maharashtra the name Shani Shingnapur, the residents of this town believe that Lord Shani watches over them and hence never lock their houses. Hardly any incidents of thefts have been reported and it is widely believe that any wrongdoer will be punished via divine interference. This is truly one of the things that happen only in India.
4) The Goud family of South India has been treating asthma for years now with a homemade recipe. The family stuffs a live fish with a medicinal recipe that only they know and makes people swallow it. Many companies have been trying to buy them out so that they could patent the miraculous recipe but the family remains firm on the policy of charging hardy any money for curing people.
5) India is perhaps one of the only countries to take an extreme step against poachers because of whom many species are driven to the endangered category. One of the things that happen only in India is that forest officers are allowed to shoot and kill poachers without the fear of prosecution.
